This painting of the playing airplane boys I started in january 2007. (back in the fifties we used to play like that on the playing ground of the sint martinus school) Two months later I thought it was ready, but in 2008 april I decided to change it a little. I made the legs longer and the bodies shorter, also I changed one of the boys head to give a more wondering look (as these boys imagine to be flying!) 25-04-08

have a look at this painting, which was already finished, until I had to take it off from its frame (because it was slanting)

Hanging to my studio wall with pinpoints (without stretcher) it looks like "the wall" on the painting is slanting because of the undulating canvas.... but most of this optical effect is due to the painting.
